Last Tuesday - spent the WHOLE LOVELY AFTERNOON jabbering and catching up with my dear friend Beth from high school, whom I hadn't seen in almost two years. Had a yummy lunch at El Mezcal and then spent an hour or so at Wildwood wandering around and jabbering some more. It was great!

Saturday - Hiking on Rib Mountain and enjoying the fall colors with my friend Kristin. Car almost overheated on the way up the hill, but since there has been this Thing with the radiator (air must be getting into the system somewhere, because the inflow suck tubes don't seem to do their job very well) for years now, I've taken to keeping a jug of antifreeze in the back. First time I had to use it since we first noticed the Thing back in 2008 or 2009, so I figure I'll call it win. I just have to make sure I check the radiator itself more often and not depend on the amount of fluid in the antifreeze reservoir.

ANYWAY, after the smoking engine scare (it wasn't redlining yet, but it was very close), Kristin and I spent a good two or three hours on the hill taking tons of pictures and OOOing and AAAHing at all the pretty leaves. Then we headed to Point for FREE FOOD FOR 100 PEOPLE AT PLAYERS LOUNGE thing that Dustin won (he's on their mailing list) and had a really great time catching up with some of my Point and Plover friends (and introducing Kristin to them, which went awesome because I always knew she'd get along great with the rest of mah peeps). Spent a good hour or two jabbering with my old roommate Haley, who I hadn't seen since I a week or two after I graduated, catching up a bit with Kristin and Steve because I hadn't seen them since their wedding back in May, and a handful of others as well. Then Dustin decided that we were all going to head down town for some bar-hopping just because it was Homecoming Weekend and we were all having fun and didn't want the night to end really (and the Free Food was mediocre at best, so once all of us were no longer starving, staying at Players kind of lost some of it's appeal)

Finally headed back to Marshfield around 11:30, dropped Kristin off by about 12:30, and only got home myself around 1 in the morning. Showered and crashed by 2 and spent a very lazy Sunday watching movies and trying not to fall asleep because three hours of hiking followed by three more of food, friends, and Downtown Stevens Point on Homecoming Weekend made for an awesome but also slightly exhausting day.

And I think that is everything of interest that has happened in the last two weeks. Hurray for friends and awesomeness!

On an entirely different note, with money being super tight and just a general unwillingness to spend $15 on something that will only stay nice a month or so at most, I cut about 4 inches off my own hair tonight. Showered, shampooed, conditioned, and then I hung my head upside down and made like Cousin It so I could see the ends as I trimmed. Final result is not perfect, but one of the many bonuses to having long hair is that it doesn't really have to be in order to still look good. :D
rensong: (Default)
I just trimmed my "bangs" (I grew them out back in third or fourth grade, and I haven't technically had bangs ever since) to about chin level because everything below that point was split ends. This is the shortest they have been in a very long time, and as they are no longer long enough to tuck behind my ears, I imagine they'll be driving me crazy before the end of the weekend.

I predict lots of barrettes in my near future.

Wow. Last week's Glee was really really awesome.

In other news, I spent too much on groceries and I have now had my annual hair cut. Okay, so it's more like "every nine months" hair cut, but whatever, I should be good until spring now. And she only had to cut an inch or two off as opposed to the six I had to get when my hair was chlorine-fried! I do miss teaching swim lessons every once in awhile, but it has been massively nice to have healthy hair and not get sick every other week this last year or so.

Hmmm... It would appear Facebook is not working, at least not for me. Oh well.

Anyway, parents are going to be here soon to pick me up - we're off to my grandparents for the afternoon. I have spent the last half hour-hour trying to tie my hair back as tight as possible (I even used styling wax, people!) cause we will be driving there in my dad's Tracker convertible, and I will be sitting in the back in the wind. Which isn't really a problem, but at 60 mph, stray hairs become tiny little whips that leave rashes on your face and neck, and that is very very annoying. Hopefully I've taken care of the worst of them, but I won't know for sure until I get in the car.

And hey, look at that! Five posts in five days! That hasn't happened awhile.
rensong: (Default)
I guess there is one bonus to the super low humidity we've been experiencing these last few days (down to 28% today); my hair is only taking a quarter of the time it usually takes to dry. This does result in it being rather fly away, though.
rensong: (Independence Day)
Note to self - you can no longer shower right before bed and sleep with wet hair. While it doesn't look awful, it doesn't look good, either, and I ended up trying the kerchief thing for awhile, and then I just gave up and re-wetted it.

So, for the moment, I still don't hate my hair, but I don't love it, either. I can't pull it back easily now, and so far the only method I've had any success with is the headband/kerchief route. I can *barely* pull most of it back into a ponytail, but that only stays maybe 5 minutes and requires lots of clips. Makes me wish I had learned how to french braid as I had always intended when I was younger.

On the other hand, I'm not using as much shampoo and conditioner, and I don't have to dig through several layers of wet hair to wash my back now.

I guess I'll take what triumphs I can get. And hope my hair grows fast.

Like I said, I chopped my hair off. Here is a before and after picture.

click for pics )

To get the full effect, I'd have to do a self portrait, but as my face is currently a acne war zone, I'll save that for another time. For now I'll estimate I had her take off 12 inches, give or take - 10 to Locks of Love and an additional 2 to even out the ends and stuff. It is... very short. And will take some getting used to.

In other news, I jammed my toe against a stool. It is now all bruised and sore. Damned stool.

Also, we are supposed to get freezing rain followed by several inches of snow most of the weekend. Fun times
rensong: (Stark - Bored Now)
I have chopped off all of my hair. Like, all of it. As in my hair hasn't been this short since I was two years old, and even that might be pushing it a bit. I now have just barely enough to pull back into a pony tail, and it takes a *lot* of effort and will only stay completely pulled back for about five minutes because, who would've thought, my hair is massively thick under all the split ends and frizz. I got it cut almost two hours ago and the stylist did that water-spritz thing they do to make even cuts and stuff - just spritzed, mind, not washed or anything - and my hair is still slightly damp. I went from having hair almost to my waist to having it just above my shoulders. It is very floppy and flippy my head feels quite a bit lighter.

On the bright side, the look seems to work for me and I don't hate it - yet. That might be subject to change as I attempt to figure out what the hell to do with it now that pony tails won't stay in and elastic hair bands look just as stupid on me as they always did. I have a massive store of those snappy clips, but most of them are too small to do much good when it comes to holding all my hair back. Right now I have it tied back with a bandanna and it doesn't look *too* bad, so at least I know that works. I think I'm gonna have to try and find myself a female friend around here to go shopping with me and look at those plastic or fabric covered plastic headbands that are all the rage these days. Hey, Emmies, wanna go shopping with me?

Will post pictures later. For now, I am going to eat chocolate and mourn the loss of my hair. We had, after all, grown rather attached these last 24 years together, but now it is donated to Locks of Love and will hopefully make someone else very happy.
rensong: (Independence Day)
When I was showering, one of the hairs that pulled out started off brown, went to silver/grey about three-fifths of the way up, and then turned brown again just before it got to the root. Does this mean I'm aging in reverse?

In other news, spent the entire day working for Pat, cleaning and organizing this time around rather than kid-sitting. Got all sorts of stuff done, but wow were my feet starting to get sore around hour 6. Pat told me "I'm not trying to mother you, but those sandals just look far to worn out to be doing your feet any good." She's probably right. I mean, they're only 10 or 13 years old. But their my faaaaaaaavorite! And they are molded to my feet all nice and comfy like.

I blame the "on my feet for almost 8 hours straight" thing, not my shoes. I still might wear my sneakers tomorrow, though, if its going to be another 8 hour day.

(and how twisted is it that my "hair" and my "boobs" are the only two body parts that have their own tags)

* Pantine ProV must put some sort of kitty crack into their shampoos and conditioners, because Kaza is even more obsessed with my hair when it is wet fresh from the shower. He just spent ten minutes curled up next to me on the arm of a chair with his face buried in my hair, purring like there was no tomorrow
* Dustin and Mandy claim that they haven't become re-addicted to any of the games on their old Nintendo 64. However, that has not stopped them from playing it for several hours straight these last three nights since they dug it out and plugged it in to feed Mandy's random Tetris fix on Saturday night.
* It is supposed to be above freezing for a high temperature all week! Yay!
* Amanda should have Kick Ass Driving Conditions all day Saturday. Double YAY!
* Die, Asian Beetles, Die
* Kaza might have the right idea. My hair really does smell good fresh from the shower
* Four more days until Amanda! YAY!
* I so totally do not have the brain power right now to write a page on comparing and contrasting the three spatial analysis articles from last week's 280 class. I hope she made the deadline for it on turnitin.com at midnight tomorrow so I can write it after class
* I need to get myself a boyfriend, if only to have someone to smear lotion on that *one spot* on my back that I can never reach
rensong: (sleepy kitty)
I got my hair chopped. And, happily (as well as surprisingly), she didn't have to take off nearly as much as I thought would be necessary to get rid of the icky ends. Or, well, she *did* take off six inches worth, but apparently I have a lot more hair than I thought I did back there. Nice.

Anyway, it's still below my shoulders and plenty long enough to pull it back into a pony tail, which is all I really care about. Well, that and it looking decent, which it also does, so is all good. Of course, now I have a bunch of clips and bobby pins that I probably won't use very often, but at least I'll have them available when I do.

pictures, nothing really dramatic )

So, yes, my hair is a bit shorter. Yay for no more snarly ends!

Also, because they were on my camera and the files automatically transfer, Dustin gave me a TAPS sticker for Christmas. I put it on Shadowlite.
Doesn't she look sexy now? Well, sexier. )

And yes, I really did touch a stingray. Which sounds way dirtier than it really is. (that sticker is from way back when I went to St. Cloud for the first time for Transfer Orientation. After we hit the school, we went up to Duluth to visit some friends and stopped at the Great Lakes Aquarium, where mom and I pet some freshwater stingrays)
rensong: (Default)
I am having an insanely good hair day today. Too bad the only ones who will see it are the people at the grocery store.
rensong: (Default)
I just cut my hair myself by bending over and brushing it all in front of me so I could see what I was cutting. Front part is slightly-below-shoulder-length and it angles back (fairly) evenly to about mid-back or slightly above. Doesn't look too bad wet, but I guess tomorrow we shall see if it looks decent enough dry.

In other news, another double shift today. Was at the Y from pretty much 10:30 to 6:30 - could've been worse, but as today was the last day of swim lessons for the summer, things didn't seem quite as wearing with an end to the 7+ hour days in sight. I'm still double shifted three or four more times before the pools close for cleaning last week of august, but now my days will be 5 and a half to 6 hours instead of 7 and a half to 10 hours, which is manageable.

Now all I have to worry about is finding a place to live, finding a way to *pay* for that place to live, and figuring out a way to pay tuition. Financial aid will cover my tuition if I do the Staford Loan thing - not something I want to do, but in this day and age it's rather impossible not to make use of the loans you can get. And I worked out that I *should* be able to live with rent, food, and bills on $650 a month. Ideally, this would mean finding a job that pays 8 or 9 bucks an hour for four or five hours a day with a hours that I can fit around my school schedule. However, finding a job like that with my under-grad qualifications might be a bit of a challenge. There is a personal in-home care job available through the university that pays $9-something an hour during the day and $6-something overnight that I'm interested in. I'd be one of the people helping take care of a man with Cerebral Palsy. Now, I am a lifeguard, which means I am certified in CPR and First Aid, and I have worked with lots of *children* with special needs, but never a full grown adult, so I'm not sure if they'll want me. I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask.
Otherwise, any other suggestions welcome. I'd apply at the Point YMCA, but that would be a case of only getting $7.00 and hour, and that won't be enough to live on unless I work a *lot* more than 4 or 5 hours a day, which is about all I can do in order to set time aside for homework and sleeping and stuff. Yeah, I know you all are going "You're a college student! You don't need sleep!" but I kinda do. I function best on 6 or 7 hours a night, and once the stress of school sets in (especially on top of everything else), I imagine that number will increase. So, yeah. Either I find a job and get a place to live, or I travel back and forth from home and spend 15 hours on the road every week. Otherwise, Maren=SCREWED.

Worked for Laurie from 8 to 12 this morning, then went and got all my hair chopped off. Well, not all of it, but I'd say at least a third. Still falls well below the shoulders (about bra-strap level), but it is about six inches shorter than it was. Got it snipped and layered. Might show pictures eventually, but for now, YAY! My ends are no longer a tangled rats next! ::dances::

On health-related news, still had to fight off one of those Freaking vs Not Caring moments when I woke up this morning, but it wandered back into my subconscious about the time I got to work. Small favors, I suppose. Hopefully it will stay there for awhile. ::knocks on wood::

Also, on a totally random and unimportant note, the passenger side door on the car when Mom and I drove in this morning refused to latch. So I spent the twenty minute ride into town attempting to hold it shut against 30-some mph winds from the north (we were driving west. If you can't figure out why that would make any difference on why it was all the harder to keep the door shut, well. As someone else cause I am way too lazy - and, admittedly, crabby - to attempt to explain what *I* think should be simple logic) and the regular car-driving-55-mph wind shear. Needless to say, my arms kinda hurt by the time we got to town and the door finally decided to latch.

And lastly, on a similar note for once, it was F'n COLD today. Like, Middle Of Wisconsin Winter Cold. Temps in the lower 20s with winds as fast or faster, making a wind chill in the single digits. A week ago we were breaking record highs. Golly, one must love Spring in Wisconsin.

I was curious as to how long my hair is now what with the fact that I haven't cut it it more than a year and a half (not for any particular reason except that 1. I have no idea what any of the decent salons are around here, and 2. I have a real hard time spending 15 bucks on something that will only stay nice for a month. However, my ends are getting scary when it comes to splits upon splits upon splits, so I really should get over my issues one of these days.

Anyhoo, I took a picture of it from the back )

In other news... I have no other news worth mentioning. So, um. Happy Almost Tuesday.
rensong: (jungle ruins)
* Hair was kinda scary when I woke up. Queen of Static and Flatness! But, it wasn't so unmanageable that I couldn't pull it back and have it look almost normal, so that's what I did.
* Check friends list and the first two posts I notice are [livejournal.com profile] icepixie and [livejournal.com profile] zeedoubleu's OH MY GOD I'M SO SICK OF microbial-sized BSG 3x12 spoiler ). It amused me to no end. :D And it makes me rather glad that I haven't watched more than an episode of BSG since the season final on New Caprica (only spelled right).
* Went shopping. Got more food stuff, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and Nerds. I also got a new pair of brown swade boots and perfume. I am turning into such a girl... not sure what to think about that as of yet. I've wanted a pair of fashion-esque boots for awhile now, so that doesn't bother me much. Its the perfume that I'm a little ashamed of. I mean, me? Wearing... perfume. *Flowery* perfume, no less... Tiare Flower, which is the only one that didn't make me sneeze. Smells pretty good, honestly. Not too potent from what I can tell, but it's still perfume. That I *paid* for! I really am turning into a girl.

Though, thanks to trying all those perfumes, I now smell like... well, everything flowery/citrusy I suppose. Its kind starting to give me a headache.

I ran out of conditioner. Still had shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner. I managed to get a brush through my hair, though I'm not entirely sure how, and pulled it back for bed. Guess we'll just have to see how scary it looks tomorrow morning. If I start scaring little children, I brought my favorite handkerchief from home for exactly this purpose. Or, well. This and a make shift blind fold for those annoying nights when Gina decides to spend a half an hour flipping through channels before she finds one she likes enough to fall asleep too. The kerchief is navy blue and it has been signed by Cristin, Beth, Jennie, Sam, and all the other Seniors of 2001 class I was friends with when I was a junior in high school. Of course, they also signed it in black permanent marker, so I can't *read* anything they wrote. I think Sam said Seniors '01 Rule! before signing her name, and then Cristin just signed it. Can't even make out a letter of what anyone else wrote -- oh, wait, I think I can see what might be another '01 on the edge -- but yay for articles of cloth with sentimental value!

I think I may have found a cure for split ends for us long-haired chicks! Or, well, at least a temporary fix since this isn't due to any long-term experimenting or anything, just something I noticed a few days ago. I got my hair cut just before I went to Germany this summer and got rid of all the icky split ends. It is now almost November and, glory me, I still have no split ends! And, you know, my hair usually lasts *about* a month after I cut it before it goes all split-endy again, so this whole almost three months thing is much with the YAY!
Anyhoo, cure I mentioned? Only brush your hair, like, two times a day. Yeah, I know, when you're hair is longer than shoulder length, that sounds rather extreme, but seriously... not as bad as your might think. Brush it in the morning when you get up, pull it back into a half pony (go through the normal motions of putting it in a pony tail, only the last time you pull it through whatever hair tie your using, only go half way so the ends are still caught up in the hair tie) or braid or something where all of the ends aren't dangling free (so they don't get tangled in a necklace or just in general or something) for the rest of the day, and then brush it again before you go to bed. Works quite swimmingly, and it's not even that tangled by the end of the day cause you got the ends all trapped up. ::nods nods:: And, you know, I teach swim lessons in a chlorine-filled pool, so when it comes to hairy quick-fixes, I know my stuff. ;)

Another hair-tip for anyone who cares; before you go swimming in a chlorinated pool or something, smear some of your preferred conditioner in your hair while it's still dry (pay particular attention to the ends) and pull it back into a bun or braid again. That way your hair absorbs the conditioner instead of the chlorine as your swimming (provided you don't swim laps for, like, two hours straight or something, cause then it will all rinse out within the first five laps) and it'll be easier to manage once you get out, and it won't reek of chlorine nearly as much. Also, if you're a regular swimmer like myself, it will keep your hair a *lot* healthier and less chlorine-fried.

Sci Fi Friday mostly non-spoilery reactions:

Firefly: ::hearts River::

SG-1: YAY Amanda! dude, is this even really a spoiler? )

SG Atlantis: this could probably be considered a spoiler for last season final )
That said, my love for McKay has also increased ten fold after this episode. ::luffs on McKay::

Battlestar Galatica: YAY Kara/Lee shippiness! And awwwww! at that little moment they had. ::hearts Lee::
Adama still almost made me cry (he didn't, mind, just almost. More proof to the fact that last week was totally hormones... >,>... <.<), though Dee was partially responsible for that.
And Roslin still makes me hate her one moment and love her the next. Not sure what this means.

On an entirely different note, my hair is all gone! Okay, so not *all* gone, but they did chop off about 5 inches (and likely 6 with the layering). Where as my hair had been about 4 inches from the top of my jeans, it's now about 4 inches just below the shoulders at the longest. Gonna be a pain in the ass to braid for the next few weeks, but at least I still *can* braid it and pull it back. It also looks way hot down now. Granted, it looked way hot when I had it down before, but now it's even hotter with a hint of natural curl and a kinda flirty flip. And I look frelling adorable in pig tails! Even more adorable than I did before, even if I can't really do the braided pig tail thing anymore.

Also, another random note, I haven't really read my friends list since around the third, and I'm not even going to *attempt* to catch up any more with the whole being gone for a week, so yeah... If anything important has happened since early August, please direct my attention to it?
On the same note, because I've been such a horrid friend with the whole not keeping track of my friends list thing, I'm doing another one of those guilt-free defriending days. So, if you so choose, I'm offering anyone on my friends list the chance to de-friend me guilt free, no questions asked. If you're behind on your friends list like me, or if it's getting a bit out of controle, or if for some bizzare reason you just don't like me anymore, I won't hold any hard feelings if you decide to de-friend me. I won't even take it personally! With school starting again soon (if it hasn't already), and with all the stuff left that we all who *aren't* in school yet have to stuff into the few remaining weeks of summer, I know it'll be a bitch for a good portion of you all to keep track of what's going on in the LJ world. Therefor, if you want to do some later summer/fall cleaning on your friends list, feel free to add my name to the "dismiss" list without any hard feelings between us. God knows I'll never catch up, and my list only has about 50 people, so I can only imagine how difficult it might be to keep up with some of the 150/200/400 the lot of you seem to have aquired. So, yes, I herby declare this my annual de-friending day; if you so choose, boot me off your buddy list and I promise I won't hold it against you.

That said, I need to do more laundry. Hey, Emma and/or Verena? What's the temperature like over in Germany these days? Should I be packing fall-ish clothes or summer-ish clothes? Both? Do I have to dig out my stash of sweat shirts?
Also, Emma? Anything from over here in the US of A that you're all nostolgic for that I should stash in my luggage for you? I'll have plenty of room since I had to upgrade to the medium-sized rolling luggage since your anniversery gift wouldn't fit in the smallest one, so there should be a good cubic foot or so where I can stowe something for you if you want me too. As long as it's non-perishable, that is. Not sure if a Papa John's Pizza will survive the trip. ;D

* Hee! at Ben and Michael with the space suit.

* I really like Amanda (Sam) and Mary's (Roslin) hair so far this 'season'.

* Claudia rocks. And her character sounds like it will rock, too. I also like her hair.

* Not sure how I feel about the new SG Atlantis character Ronin or whatever his name is. I mean, I do kinda like his hair, but so far that's all I really have to say about him.

* I wonder if the producers will let Ben and Claudia do any random Farscape references. Cause that would be fun. And it would give me something else to geek over.

* I've had the NCIS theme stuck in my head all day. I do not know why.

* Does anyone know what 'Tu Sabes' means? Cause it's on the shirt I'm wearing today (it had a cool pattern with lightning and what looks like kinda like the Mayan calendar on it, so I picked it up last summer cause I thought it looked spiffy, even if I didn't know what what was written on it meant) With my rough Spanish knowledge, closest I could come up with was 'You Know' or 'To Know', but I have no idea why some company would write that on a shirt. But, I suppose if it is the Mayan calendar on it, and the Mayans used their calendar to predict future events, something about knowing might make sense. I never really thought t-shirt making people looked that far into things, though.

* Watching Queer Eye always makes me hungry. All the food Ted makes looks yummy. He makes me wanna eat all the foods I wouldn't otherwise eat, like fish and all that yucky stuff. Also? Kyan is pretty. I never noticed this before, but he really is. Or at least he is when he's having a good hair day.

* temperatures got all the way up to 77 degrees today! YAYness! My feet are still cold, though. But for the first time since like April I can wear sandals without fear of frost bite! Wohoo!

* those scratches I got from the attack thorn bushes we had to walk through when we got lost on the mound? Itch like mad, yo. How come owwies always itch after they've been healing for a few days when itching off the scabs would probably do the most damage... Pesky healing process.

* My hair is getting long again. I try and scratch my back with my hair in one of those high-ish pony tails and I end up grabbing hair. Course, that might be because I haven't cut it since last June. Should probably get it trimmed one of these days seeing as the ends are getting all tangly.

* I really like this song. Thank you, Cristin, for uploading it for all us to download a few weeks ago. ::hums along::

* Hee! Natalie rewrote the cast of Star Wars. Life is so much more fun when half your friends list are Star Wars geeks.

Mini rant kinda sort about NCIS but not really ahead (some of which some of you might not agree with), feel free to skip

* as I am still skip=150 on my friends list, I'm getting a lot of reactions to season finals. the NCIS final in particular (or, well, like maybe three people on my friends list... the other two are not on LJ and freak out about it over MSN). Some are cheering, some are ready to go after the writers with torches and pitch forks, some don't wanna watch the series ever again because of what happened. I'm kinda "Eh, such is life" on the whole thing. spoiler ). Whatever, I still have every intention of watching the series a) because the writing is good, b) dude, snark!, and c) how can one not love Mark Harmon snarking on Michael Weatherly with lots of pretty explosions and the occasional gun battle/fight scene? Besides, it's only TV... I never understood how someone could invest so much into one television series. I mean, yeah, they're enjoyable to watch and what's not to love about a good drama, but dude... it's a television show. How can some people get so worked up over a piece of fiction? Yeah, so sometimes you can connect with the characters, and even I admit to getting a kinda sniffly if one of my favorite characters died (by kinda I mean very very little. I didn't even cry when Aeryn died on Farscape. My eyes teared a bit, but nothing ever fell and I was perfectly fine and back to normal within two minutes), but in the end it's still television. I just don't get it.
But, hey, I'm weird and often times confused... What else is new? YAY NCIS!

/kinda sorta but not really NCIS rant

* My foot fell asleep. Tis annoying. Guess that's what I get for sitting on it the past half hour.

* Words cannot express how much I adore the song Robert Mackenzie sung by Paul Gross. Dude, I want to see some Due South. *Now*, dammit! ::sulks because she had not the DVDs. Or a DVD player, for that matter::

* [livejournal.com profile] wisdomeagle linked to a pretty cool Andromada kinda sorta AU (can it be an AU if a writer for the actual series wrote it?) here if anyone is interested (its the one on the bottom). It made way more sense to me than the few episodes I've seen of this latest season (keeping in mind I hadn't followed the series since first season when I mention the latest-season episodes), and I so totally would have tried to keep up with the series if that's what it was leading up too. I don't know how to explain it to pique anyone else's inerest, but... the idea of Big Bang = Heaven exploding and Heaven = Love, in a kinda-sorta way interest you... Well, how bout I just copy and paste a bit of it for you ). I should also probably mention that Trans early seasons purple again in this version of a possible series final?, so that might explain a bit. or not. Yeah, have I mentioned I don't know how to explain it? :D

Hey, look! It's June!
And I think that's enough for today. Bed time! Night everyone.

::scratches head::

Ya know, this is just a hunch, but I'm guessing that Andromeda isn't one of those shows that you can not watch for 3 years and then pick up right where you left off... Because tonight's "new" episode totally confused me. Like... more confusion then I've ever felt when it comes to Farscape. Ever.

Don't suppose any of you could explain the last three years to me, no?

::sighs:: Didn't think so. Ah, well, no big loss. I only watch it for Kevin Sorbo's hair anyway. :D There was a time when I watched it for Tyr and his lovely hair as well, but alas, it seems he's chopped it all off and become evil.

::cries:: My hair is all gone!
Well, not all gone, but half gone. Where as it *was* about three-fourths of the way down my back this morning, it is now just barely past my shoulders. Chopped five inches off and wow can you tell the difference. It feels weird... I mean, it looks nice and all, but dude... it feels weird.

In other news, Pitch Black is on Sci Fi. Am debating whether or not to watch it or not since my head is kinda hurting at the moment and all I really wanna do is go curl up and not think for a few hours... Decisions decisions.

Timeline is an ok movie for anyone who likes history and time travel and creating your own history, that kind of thing. That and it has pretty eye candy - as in the dude from the Fast and the Furious without the bleach-blond hair (tis curly/wavy and natural brown in this movie... ::drools::) and some dude with long black hair and a Scottish? accent. The two girls in it are also pretty easy on the eyes. ;) I doubt if it's very historically sound, but dude... Any battle involving fire arrows and catapults is always fun, right? :)

On a totally different note, I have a hair appointment scheduled for next Wednesday to get rid of the icky tangly ends I end up ripping my brush through every day, and I'm trying to figure out if I wanna add to the trim by getting highlights or something. I mean, I am gonna be in Hawaii for a week for my bro's wedding come July and something different from the same old hair style I've had all my life might be fun and possibly make me look more the part. :) Only thing is, I have no clue what highlights might look good with my dark brown mop of hair. I'm thinking maybe a dark red, but so far that's the only idea I've come up with cause, yeah, I haven't really got the hair-coloring experience you all seem to have. :) Anyhoo, suggestions would be welcome... I figure at least half of you might have some ideas since from what I understand some of you are changing your hair color on almost a weekly basis. ;)
